Description
Inspired by South Africa’s first democratic election in April 1994. Led by the late great Nelson Mandela.
The twisted wire African continent is the historical fencing from Robben Island that once held captive Nelson Mandela, the leader who was able to free his country from the apartheid regime.
The gold foiled X symbolizes where Robben Island is situated on the African continent. The remaining X’s represent the mark on ballot papers. All these votes helped free all South Africans who were once oppressed.
Artwork Size: ± A4 size paper (Unframed option)
Frame Size: The outer frame is round about 320 x 420mm / 12.5 x 16.5 inches.
