The Piece
This pendant holds a special place in Charmaine Taylor’s heart, as she often says, “It formed itself.”
After a long day of work, Charmaine needed to complete one last design for her first ever collection. When she randomly combined eight pieces of Robben Island fence in one movement, and just like that, this stunning design emerged.
Charmaine felt an instant connection and chose to name it Freewill, inspired by the freedom to choose – a theme that resonates deeply with the story of Robben Island.
Definition of Freewill
Freewill is defined as the voluntary choice or decision, the freedom to make choices independent of prior causes or divine intervention. The Freewill Pendant symbolizes this power of choice, a timeless reminder that we are all free to shape our own destinies.
