The inspiration behind The Strength Series:
The square shape symbolises the four walls of confinement that surrounded Nelson Mandela during his imprisonment, and also the confinement in our minds and life circumstances. But through resistance and struggle; strength and freedom are gained. With every cufflink Charmaine and her team select four unique colour pieces of fence to place into the square frame. These colours symbolise all the tribes and languages of the South African people. South Africa is fondly named the Rainbow Nation.
