Legacy Collection is inspired by the original fence from Robben Island prison, where Nelson Mandela was once imprisoned. Each design includes unique pieces of this historical fencing and is inspired by South Africa’s peaceful road to democracy. Every piece gets a unique serial number and has a certificate of authenticity.

Each piece of our collection is a poignant work of art made from the Robben Island fence, that once imprisoned Nelson Mandela. The fencing was a symbol of oppression but now it is transformed into symbols of hope, forgiveness and freedom.
Legacy Collection is handmade and locally produced in Cape Town. The range includes titles such as Peace; Rights; Justice; Liberty; Grace; which are aptly named in honour of South Africa’s road to democracy.
It is Legacy Collections’ vision and commitment to continue investing in
South Africa’s development by empowering previously disadvantaged individuals by creating pieces of art that tell the beautiful story of Hope over History for generations to come.
Remembering that through confinement and struggle;
there is always strength and triumph over your circumstances.

I have a few pieces from the Legacy Collection and each one is authentic and exquisite, with an encouraging story. I feel empowered and beautiful when I wear my precious jewels. Charmaine is a dynamic, forward-thinking, passionate creator of all things inspirational.
I wore my Truth Necklace all day on my tour of Joburg through Constitution Hall, Soweto and the Apartheid Museum. It felt really special and quickly has become my favourite purchase in South Africa. ❤️ (USA)
